Emily talks directing: “Possibly next season, after Henry’s two, or if we have a tenth season.”

Emily recently talked to Collider.com about the new series of Bones, and if she’d like to direct an episode, as stated in the past. Here’s what she said!
Are you still interested in or have plans to direct an episode of the show?
I do hope so. I would just have to wait until my son was big enough that I didn’t feel like I had to be with him as much. Right now, I take him with me, every day. I see him during my breaks, and I’m still practicing as much attachment parenting as possible. I really want that to be in place before I would do something like direct, which definitely is more challenging while I’m also acting on the show. I definitely want to, but I made a choice in life to get pregnant and have a child, and I want to put my child first. It is a goal for me, and I hope to do that. Possibly next season, maybe after Henry’s two, or if we have a tenth season. We’ll see.

Zooey launches Production Co with Sophia Ross.
Zooey Deschanel is becoming a full-fledged TV producer. The New Girl star has launched a production company with her Hello Giggles partner Sophia Rossi, which has inked a two-year first-look deal with 20th Century Fox TV, the studio behind New Girl. Under the pact, Deschanel and Rossi will develop new projects for the studio. The two tried their hand at producing this season with Must Be Nice, a comedy written by New Girl consulting producer J.J. Philbin and produced by 20th TV, which sold to Fox, the network that airs New Girl. Deschanel and Rossi executive produced that project with Molly McAleer (2 Broke Girls), their partner at female-centric Web site Hello Giggles, which the trio launched in 2011. “We’ve known Zooey as an actress through New Girl, and as we got to know her as a producer through the script she developed, we quickly realized that there is so much more to her,” 20th TV chairman Gary Newman said. “Zooey and Sophia have their finger on the pulse of young people and particularly young women, and we really responded to that.” Deschanel is repped by UTA, Seven Summits and Hanson Jacobson; Rossi by UTA, Ziffren Brittenham and 3 Arts.

Zooey and Liz Meriweather talk to Entertainment Weekly.

Zooey recently talked to Entertainment Weekly about New Girl, and what the next few episodes will involve!
“I think people were seeing the chemistry growing between these characters, and at some point you want some kind of payoff,” says Deschanel. “And this was the perfect time for it.”
“And then I thought: I have a surprise for Liz! And the surprise was, I had glued fake beard material onto my eyebrows, and I was like, ‘This is going to make Liz so happy that I have fake beard glued to my eyebrows.’ That whole episode, with the absurd costumes and carnival, was this fun, Fellini-esque direction to go in.”
